Benji

5 months

Benji's ideal home

Benji is looking for a home with minimal leaving hours as he can struggle to be left on his own and will need support from his humans while he is settling in. Benji is a friendly lad who would welcome regular adult visitors, but he would prefer residential or visiting children to be aged 10 or over, as little over-handsy people can be quite annoying. We would ideally like Benji to be rehomed with his best friend Pepe if there is a home with a big enough heart for both of them.

Could you be Benji's perfect match?

Benji is an eight-year-old Schnauzer cross Yorkshire Terrier, who came into our care due to his owners moving abroad. Benji is the definition of a proper distinguished gentleman. He is happiest when on a walk or spending time with his handlers. Benji would love to be rehomed with his best friend Pepe as they are well-bonded and love cuddling up together. He has been finding kennel life quite stressful due to its loud and busy environment. With this said, he would benefit from a quieter home but loves new human friends, so regular visitors are no issue. Benji does have a lipoma (lump) on his abdomen which we have tested and are happy that it is benign. Therefore it does not currently need any further treatment.

If you are looking for a fun-loving canine companion with a sweet and affectionate side, Benji is your guy!

Yorkie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Yorkshire Terrier.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
