About This Dog for Adoption

Milo's ideal home

Milo may be small, but he is full of life! This lively, friendly boy is looking for a home where he can be the centre of attention. He can live with children aged 5 and over and would love a family who enjoys playtime as much as he does. Milo would love owners who can take things at his pace, especially when it comes to meeting other dogs. He can be vocal and isn't overly keen on dogs in his space so he does need to be the only dog in his new home. Milo would benefit from continuing his training and socialisation to help with his confidence around other dogs.
He may be able to live with a dog savvy cat, as he has been playful with them in the past.

Could you be Milo's perfect match?

If you are looking for a fun, affectionate little companion, meet Milo! He loves carrying his toys around, especially if they squeak! and he is always up for a game. Food is the way to his heart, and he will happily work for tasty treats. He is a star for handling, including at the vets, and even tolerates a bath (as long as it is done with a jug rather than a shower!).

Milo is not fully housetrained yet, but with patience and routine, he will soon get the hang of it. He needs a little help getting into the car but travels well once he is in. While he will need to stay on the lead in public, he is eager to explore and will love joining you on adventures.

With his playful nature and love for fuss, Milo is sure to bring plenty of joy to his new home!

Yorkie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Yorkshire Terrier.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Yorkie Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
