About This Dog for Adoption

Winston's ideal home

Winston is a sensitive 5-year-old who finds meeting new people a little worrying and is much less brave than his pal Diablo. He is shy and less confident when meeting other dogs, often taking his cues from Diablo for reassurance. Winston enjoys playing with toys and going for walks, but in stressful or unfamiliar situations he may hang back and need time to feel safe. He has never lived with cats, so we are unsure how he would cope with them, and he would be best suited to a home with children aged 14 and over, as he can become worried if over-handled or approached too quickly.

Could you be Winston's perfect match?

Winston can be left for short periods and is gradually learning to feel more secure. It has taken him longer than Diablo to settle into foster care, but he is making steady progress every day. Winston is a gentle soul who needs a calm, patient owner willing to give him space and build trust at his pace. A quieter home with a garden is essential, where he can relax and play with Diablo, as the two dogs must be rehomed together. In the right environment, Winston will blossom into a loyal and affectionate companion.
