About This Dog for Adoption

Bonnie's ideal home

Bonnie and Buddy are a pair of beautiful Lhasa Apsos who have always been together and gain lots of security and confidence from each other. They are looking for a home where they will be loved and cherished, and owners able and happy to keep them in the tip-top condition they arrived in. They could live with older sensible primary school children who understand they can be a little worried in a noisy environment. They would like to be the only dogs in their new home, but would love contact with dog pals outside of the home as they are very sociable around other dogs. They can be shy but happy to greet everyone they meet. They would love their own secure garden but could share if the available space isnt too busy. They enjoy going out in the car so could be taken to lots of places to have a good sniff around and a stroll.

Could you be Bonnie's perfect match?

Bonnie comes with her brother and they have always been together - they get lots of comfort and reassurance from each other. Due to their breed, they have beautiful long coats, and this would need to be maintained regularly with visits to the groomers - they love to be brushed too so their coats can also be looked after in the home between hair appointments. They are a very sweet little pair and Bonnie especially loves to curl up on a warm lap and snooze (as long as Buddy is close by!) They walk really nicely on lead and are very clean in the house, asking to go out when needed. They can be shy, so it might take them a little while to settle into their new home, but once they feel safe and secure, they will make lovely, fun companions and their current foster carers say they are a joy to have around. Please note that you won’t be applying for a specific dog, but you can tell us what type of dog you’re looking for. You can also add up to four favourites to your application to give us an idea of the dogs you like, so we can consider you for similar dogs. Once you’ve submitted your application, we can’t change or update your favourites. Adding a dog to your application is not a reservation but a guide for us to find you a match.

Yorkie Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Yorkshire Terrier.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Yorkie Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
