About This Dog

Buddy's ideal home

Buddy is a sweet 6-year-old Yorkshire Terrier with a big love for his people and a gentle little heart. He’s friendly with everyone in his foster home. Buddy is at his most relaxed when he is near people or can hear comforting voices around him, whether that’s someone chatting nearby, the radio on, or the TV in the background.
Buddy is a brilliant boy for handling. He’s fantastic with his harness and he loves being brushed and will lie down and relax into it. He also enjoys a tummy tickle and is fine being picked up, making him a lovely little companion for someone who enjoys a dog who likes gentle care and attention.
Out and about, Buddy enjoys sniffy walks and likes taking his time to investigate the world. He prefers pavement under his paws but is getting better with long wet grass, and although he can pull and zigzag a little when excited, this is manageable due to his size.
At home, Buddy settles well when his foster carers are in the room. He is looking for a kind, patient home with secondary school-aged children and his own secure garden. He is currently finding it difficult to be away from his favourite people, so he will need adopters who can help him build confidence with being left gradually and support him with his housetraining routine. If you’re looking for a small, affectionate companion who loves grooming, tummy tickles and being close to his people, Buddy could be a wonderful match. AWE licence number 13090 by West Lothian Council.

Hello, good morning. Due to a lack of time and the fact that I had a tumor, I am finding it difficult to care for my two Yorkshire Terriers—a female and a male, aged 9 and 5. They are wonderful dogs. I don't have anyone here to help me right now, but I also don't want to hand them over to just anyone. What is the process for someone to adopt them?
