About This Dog

Winnie's ideal home

Winnie is a sweet and curious 5-year-old girl who loves getting out and about for her walks and exploring new places with her people. She enjoys plenty of affection and fuss once she has gotten to know you, and although she can be a little worried by grooming, she responds well to patience and reassurance. Winnie is very interested in meeting new people and, after a brief introduction, will happily come over to ask for cuddles. She is fully housetrained and can be left for short periods following a settling-in period, with this gradually increasing over time. Winnie absolutely adores playing with balls and will happily roll them over to her foster carer when she is ready for another game. She is curious about other dogs and is content walking past them out on her adventures.
Winnie is currently in Foster Care and therefore not available to meet at the centre without an appointment. You can register your interest in Winnie by favouriting her within your online application.

Could you be Winnie's perfect match?

Winnie could live in a home with secondary school aged children or older, as loud noises can make her feel nervous at times. She would benefit from adopters who can continue building her confidence and help her with some ongoing lead training, as she can pull when excited on walks. Winnie would suit a family who enjoy spending time outdoors and can provide her with plenty of enrichment, playtime and companionship. In return, she will offer lots of affection, entertainment and loyal companionship to a home willing to give her the time and reassurance she needs to truly flourish.
