About This Dog for Adoption

Charlie's ideal home

Charlie is an older man, at a great 13 years old, looking for a quiet retirement home to call his own. Charlie is a very happy gentleman, he potters around, minding his own business and then totters over to you with an extra waggy tail for a little cuddle! He is looking for a somewhat quiet home, when he can snooze in peace but also get his little walks as he does still enjoy this very much! He could live with another dog in his new home if the other dog wasn't too much for him as he just wants the quiet life.

Could you be Charlie's perfect match?

Charlie is a precious old man who deserves the very best of retirement homes, he doesn't enjoy being left home alone so would need someone who is around a lot or could have plans in place or place him with you! He does like the snooze in the sun in the peace and very much enjoys going on for a gentle walk and sniffing, he gets very excited when he sees his lead. Charlie likes to play with squeaky toys sometimes and is an inquisitive man- he is going to make someone very lucky!

Yorkie Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Yorkshire Terrier.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Yorkie Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
