About This Dog for Adoption

Bailey's ideal home

Meet Bailey! He is looking for an adult only home or a family with older teenagers who understand when he may want some space. Bailey could potentially live with a similarly sized dog who will be able to put up with his excitable nature, but would be equally happy as the only dog in the home. He would love a large, enclosed garden space where he can enjoy his favourite game, fetch! And would benefit from quieter walking areas until he has had a chance to settle in his new home. Bailey would appreciate some company during the day until he has built some confidence in his new surroundings, then leaving time could be built up gradually to a few hours at a time.

Could you be Bailey's perfect match?

Bailey is a beautiful 8 year old Yorkshire Terrier. Bur don't let age fool you! Bailey is a spritely puppy at heart and loves nothing more than chasing a tennis ball through the garden or playing tug with his favourite people! He also enjoys getting out and about for walks and travels well in the car for adventures. He prefers a more hands-off approach to begin with, but once he builds a relationship with you, Bailey enjoys a good fuss. True to his breed, Bailey likes making himself heard when meeting new people or other dogs, but does settle when given time to say hello. If you are interested in this lovely boy and feel he'd be a good fir for your home, follow the steps below to submit an application and don't forget to "favourite" Bailey!

Yorkie Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Yorkshire Terrier.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Yorkie Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
